(Updated November 13, 2013) . . . Mike has done it again. Hitting the $3,000 mark for the 2nd year in a row for this tour.
       A threat of rain was forecasted for late afternoon. But it never happened.

       Ready to hear about how Mike did in his 21st time in the MS 100 bike tour. Here we go!!

     Sept. 21st . . . Mike woke up after 6:15am saturday morning. Then he got himself ready for his buddy Scott. Mike ate breakfast and double check things. To make sure he got everything for the bike tour. Scott picked up Mike after he got done with work. Left just after 7:00am.
     Scott and Mike reached the bike tour location late. Had to rush to sign in, put number on jersey, bag in the truck and so on. Mike was a few minutes late to get on the road.
       For the 2nd time ever. Mike has video taped the bike tour. He got a Go Pro camera that was mounted to his vented helmet.

• Mike left the start line at 8:12am in foggy conditions.
• Reached rest stop #1 at 9:02am. Which is the Township of Chatham Municipal Building. Sun and clouds. DST (distance): 10.90 miles, TM (time): 43:00 minutes, AV (average): 15.2 mph, MS (max speed): 20.4 mph.
• Reached rest stop #2 at 10:13pm. Which is the Couch Brausdorf Ins Grp. Sun, clouds and mild. AV: 15.1, DST: 22.96, TM: 1:30:43, MX: 29.7
• Made rest stop #3 lunch at 11:36am. Location of this stop is at the Liberty Park with mix sun and clouds. MX: 29.7, AV: 14.6, DST: 33.90, TM: 2:19:37 . . . Then out of lunch at 12:17pm.
• Reached rest stop #4 Mendham Municipal at 1:20pm. Mostly cloudy. AV: 13.4, MX: 31.4, DST: 43.20, TM: 3:06:00
• Made it to the finish at 2:53pm with mostly cloudy skies. Had a little fun at the end. DST: 54.42, TM: 3:57:25, MX: 32.4, AV: 13.4

     The first thing Mike did was to sign up for the 2014 MS 100 tour. Then Mike tried to check in for his room. But the front desk said his name was not listed. Went to MS staff to fix it all up. He got a room of his own once again. Mike took a few photos. Got cleaned up. Mike's mother boyfriend with his family members came by for BBQ. Mike went to a ballroom for 2nd part dinner. Listned to speeches and watched a comedy show. 3 comedian came by to do a show for all the riders. Thanks for the awesome entertainment. Then it rained for the night. Mike watched a little girl in the lobby play a violin. She did good for her young age. Mike ordered cheese fries and soda. Gone back to his room and watched tv. Then fell asleep on his king size bed.

     Sept. 22nd . . . Mike woke up just before 6:00am. No wake up calls like they do at the Hilton. Mike felt like not getting up. Soon as he did. He was in motion and did not stop moving. Mike packed up. Got his stuff already to roll out the door. Got down to the main floor. Soon he parked his bicycle and bag. Ate breakfast and chat with a few friends. Heard a few short speeches for the bike tour. Dropped off his big bag and got air in the tires. Took off at 8:04am. The ground is wet from the overnight rain. Clear blue skies with a chilly start. I took photos and started video taping at the start of the tour.

• Made the #1 rest at the Mendham Municipal Building at 8:54am. The ground is wet and the sun reflecting off the ground was bothering Mike's eyes for al ong while. TM: 31:24, DST: 11.14, MX: 27.1, AV: 13.0
• Finally made rest stop #2 at Far Hills Train Station. After some crazy hills. Sunny skies. AV: 12.0, DST: 26.15, TM: 2:10:40, MX: 27.1
• Made rest stop #3 lunch at the Pluckemin Park Pavilion at 12:24pm. Sun and some clouds. DST: 39.30, TM: 3:03:34, MX: 27.1, AV: 12.8
• Reached rest stop #4 at Millington Train Station at 2:00pm. Sun and clouds. Was a bit more Cautous on the road from this point on. AV: 12.4, DST: 48.60, TM: 3:54:57, MX: 27.1
• Before Mike reached the finish line. Mike missed the final turn for the finish line. Mike rode the entire Southgate Parkway to the end. He had to back track to make the correct turn for the finish.
• Finally made it to the finish back at the Atlantic Health System parking lot at 3:20pm. Sorry I did not record the info from the speedometer.

     After Mike reached the finish line. He signed in and got his medal for finishing the tour. The medal is a replica of the 2012 awesome medal. You can hear music and see a food tent right after the finish area. Then he got his bag, walked to the food tent to get food and relexed. Mike did dance a bit to his requested music from the DJ. Chat with a few friends and took photos along the way. Then everyone left. Mike's buddy Scott came by about 4:00pm to pick up Mike and home they both went. Mike even fell asleep in the car.

      Mike Final word . . . It was a good ride this year. A lot of new comers to the tour. Wet ground sunday morning. A little bit tired then last year tour. Raising over $3,000 for the this awesome tour for the 2nd year in a row.
     Raised a personal high of $3,200.00 for the MS New Jersey Metro Chapter September tour. Never thought I reach the $3,000 mark for the 2nd time for the tour. Thanks to those that did donate this year. Mike says . . it was a good year. Even though everyone wallet was tight. Hope it better next year. Hope this last another 20 more years or when Mike legs falls off. LOL !!
