    My name is Michael Dowd. I am known either as "Bike Mike" or "Big Mike" here in Belleville, New Jersey, U.S.A. I am the kind of person that likes to have fun, that listens, and enjoys life. I do not drink, not smoke, nor do not do drugs. I can not drive due to bad vision. Legally blind in the state of New Jersey. That is why I pedal on my 21 and a 30 speed bicycle.



  • I volunteered for a local cable access channel WBHS-34 from 1989 to 2003.
  • Am a blood donor.
  • Became a Eagle Scout on June 22, 2008
  • I started in Boy Scout Troop 301 of Belleville around 1981 or 1982.
  • I am in a Special Troop and been in the troop since around 1983 or 1984. Something like that. This awesome troop has turned 35 in April of 2008. This troop is not a normal troop where the age limit is 18. So that you can understand this part. The troop I am in is for those that are disabled and handicap . . . wanting to have fun, a challenge and an adventure. There are not many troops out there like that. Everyone in this awesome troop does not use the word handicap. Rarely use the word. But typed it in here for you to understand.
  • I ride in two Multiple Sclerosis bike tours a year here in New Jersey to help raise money for Multiple Sclerosis since 1990.
  • My dreams one day is to become a D.J., work on camera at a big network and ride my bicycle from my town to either my most favorite camp in New Jersey, Washington D.C. or Disney World in Florida.
  • Have been on the internet since September 1993. In order...Prodigy, Prodigy Classic, Prodigy Internet, SBC Prodigy Ineternet, SBC Yahoo Dial and now AT&T Yahoo Dial. Made a lot of friends of all ages and different countries since then.
  • I have tons of friend of all ages here in and around my hometown area. Also have friends that are stars. Hoping to never stop making friends and never stop smiling along the way.
  • Big Mike was born in Newark, NJ on Jan. 9, 1970
  • Age 40
  • Black short thick hair.
  • 5 feet and 6 inches tall
  • 7 1/2 to an 8 size shoe
  • Weigh around 150 pounds in the warm season and around 155 pounds(do a lot of biking)
  • Wears glasses
  • Wear hearing-aid in left ear and deaf in right ear.
  • Blind in right eye.
  • I had two girlfriends in my life.
  • I am currently single. Been so for 6 years. Who likes to be in my arms at the movie? SMILE!!
  • My favorite color is green.
  • My favorite snack is Girl Scouts Samoas cookies and Hostess Cupcake.
  • Favorite fruit is bananas.
  • Knows how to operate a video camera.
  • Now how to video edit.
  • Knows how to use a panasonic video editor.
  • Have taped special events like weddings, parties and high school graduations since 1995.
  • A Internet DJ for what use to be Future Now Radio for almost 2 years. Ended in 2001. Now the station changed name to cyberstormradio.com.
  • I help out the best I can with friends and families.
  • How I got the computer I currently have now. Michael Pesci introduced me to Anthony B. from Micro Strategies. Michael collected money. Anthony heard about it and trippled what Michael Pesci collected for an awesome computer. Which I got October 2003. Who can ever forget? It is a awesome IBM ThinkCenter A50p model.
  • How I got the awesome bicycle I currently have. Which I got during a tv interview on a cable access channel in Morris County. The show was called "George and Company". Rolled out in front of me near the end of the interview. Was speechless! Did not know what to say or what to do. The bike is to be used for training and MS bike tours only. Given by Perfect Pitch Homerun Derby and Cycle Craft bike shop. It is a beautiful 2004 Cannondale Sport Road 1000.
  • I also help sell the Perfect Pitch Homerun Derby raffle tickets each year. You need a adult to sell raffle tickets. I help both Mike and Mike sell them raffle tickets for the Perfect Pitch Homerun Derby.
  • A friend name Scott W. from the Belleville Fire Department got me a awesome birthday and christmas gift. Scott got me the URL name. Which is bikemikeworld.com. The new Bike Mike World will be up for a very long time. Which it has been for 10 years under Prodigy Homepages.
  • A new friend name Scott S. from CoffeeCup.com donated every software that CoffeeCup produced. Including the HTML book and three of it great t'shirts. It is so Mike can produce a great website for bikemikeworld.com site. Oh-yeah! The bubble wrap. Mike popped every bubble with his chair. SMILE!
  • Lunarpages.com wanted to help and gave Mike's website a new home.
  • Currently do tiny editing work for a DJ friend
